Porsche 993 Turbo S

With their unique specification, these last-of-the-line 993’s are now amongst the most coveted of all modern classic Porsches. When news of the Turbo S was released to the Porsche dealers in February 1997, the model sold out within days. The much-loved 993 series was to have one last unexpected hurrah before being superseded by the 996 series. The new model was produced with the close assistance of the Exclusive Department in early 1998 and became a hit with major Porsche collectors all over the globe.

Producing 450 hp at 5,750 rpm and 584 Nm of torque 4,500 rpm the Turbo S was performance personified.  0-60 mph is achieved in just 3.9 seconds. The 993 Turbo featured twin turbocharging which was used for the first time, with one smaller turbocharger installed in each cylinder bank. It was also the first Turbo model to feature all-wheel drive. The Turbo S utilised larger K-24 turbochargers and a modified engine management system to increase engine power.

Supplied in March 1998 by JCT 600 Porsche, Newcastle, and with a complete stamped Porsche main dealer service history, this Turbo S is complete with its original leather book pack, alarm programming fobs, spare keys and even historic road tax discs. It has had just 2 registered keepers.  In December 2022, a similar example with higher mileage sold for $643,000 at auction in the USA.
