Engine & Performance
As always with the 911s, it came equipped with advanced technology:
- 3,800-cc four-cam, four-valve, naturally aspirated and direct-injected engine
- “Power Kit” including ported and polished combustion chambers
- Special resonance intake manifolding for peak power across the rev range
- Remapped ECU
- New exhaust system and carbon fiber air box
These upgrades resulted in a stunning 408 HP, delivered through a 6-speed manual transmission.
History & Condition
With just over 25,000 km covered and delivered new to Germany, this car has been diligently maintained from new, exclusively by Porsche Centre Frankfurt.
The car comes complete with:

- Medical kit
- Car cover
- Leather documents pouch with all factory books
This example is number 41 of just 250 in Porsche’s very limited production run.
Design Heritage
At its 2009 debut, Porsche aimed to honor one of the most iconic cars in its history — the 1973 2.7 RS.The idea was brilliant, but timing less so: Europe was in the midst of a severe economic crisis, and many did not see the €300,000+ premium over a 997 Carrera S as justifiable.
One of the key exterior features is the so-called “Double Dome” roof (a nod to Zagato’s “Double Bubble” design).The body shell is wider by 1.75 inches, with rear quarter panels borrowed from the Carrera 4.It rides on 19-inch alloy rims, custom-built to resemble the classic Fuchs wheels, and features the legendary ducktail rear spoiler in homage to the 2.7 RS.
All 250 examples were finished in the exclusive color “Sport Classic Grey.”
Interior
The interior of the 997 Sport Classic is truly one of a kind and often described as one of the most finely detailed Porsche interiors ever made, featuring:
- Exclusive woven leather seats and door panels
- Espresso Nature natural leather dashboard
