Chamonix was founded in the early 1980s by Milton & Newton Masteguin, one of the creators of the legendary DKW Malzoni and founder of the equally legendary Brazilian sports car brand Puma.

After collaborating with American automotive engineer Chuck Beck, Chamonix turned to the production of Speedster and Spyder replicas, which are considered some of the best in the world. The excellent quality of the bodywork is the result of fiberglass lamination (hand-laid – with manual pressing), a method that provides greater regularity, without surface undulation and thickness variations, resulting in lower weight and better dimensional allows control of the parts.

International recognition of the brand came in the early 1990s, when the Chamonix was named the best replica in the world by the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport and the North American magazine Road & Track.

This Chamonix has just been restored by the factory and is in mint condition. The car is equipped with a 1.6 liter Volkswagen engine.
