Porsche 356 C Coupe in black for sale!

This 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe was completed at the factory on June 30, 1964 and was finished in the ultra-desirable color combination of black paintwork and a black interior. While this is a very common specification for a new Porsche in 2020, it was seldom-seen in the 1960s. The black and yellow license plates that are with the car tie its early history to California although our file of records doesn’t start until around the year 2000 when a Long Beach Porsche enthusiast purchased the car from Jim Calloway’s 356 Limited.

During his ownership that spanned until 2006, a full restoration was completed by all of the well-known local guys. The work, which is now roughly fifteen years old is holding up well. The paintwork, done by Pan’s Coachcraft, can be classified as “nice driver” quality and all of the exterior brightwork and trim are showing very well. The interior is downright beautiful, with expertly trimmed seats in leather, beautiful North Hollywood gauges with green markers and a very expensive wood steering wheel. The chrome wheels are hubcaps still look new and have just been fitted with fresh Pirelli tires. Nothing was overlooked including the undercarriage, which was fully restored and detailed with factory finishes. With Shasta Pistons and rebuilt carburetors, it comes as no surprise that this 356 performs very well and is effortless to drive with a smooth and precise gearbox and confident disc brakes. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a great driving 356 that is in a very desirable color combination and retains its original matching numbers engine and transmission.
