Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 WTL

There seems to be no totally accurate production number for the M-491 cars, but they are for sure rare. The M-491 option was not just a cosmetic body kit. It included:
The Turbo body.
The turbo whale tail.
The turbo wrap-around chin spoiler.
The turbo suspension.
The turbo brakes with 285 mm cross-drilled discs and four-piston aluminum calipers.
The wider wheels and tires.
A slight weight increase but a noticeable handling improvement over the standard Carrera.

The M491 option didn’t come cheap. Prices for the M491 option ranged from $10K to $15K extra depending on the year. The high cost kept orders and production numbers low, making these genuine M491 equipped models very special, very rare and an increasingly good investment. And one that looks and drives awesome!

Our car on offer comes from a Southern California owner and is a highly original, 67k mile (107k kms) example in stunning collector condition.
Finished in rarely seen “Hellbronze Metallic” (966-93) over Cadbury brown interior with “Nadelstreifen”, this is a most unique and stunning color combination. The paint is to a large degree still original and shows absolutely fantastic with a gorgeous appearance. A paint meter protocol is available upon request.

The condition of the body and paint is truly remarkable. All body gaps and shut lines are excellent. Obviously this Carrera has never been in an accident and has zero corrosion issues whatsoever.

The beautiful two tone interior is completely original as well and in very good shape. The door panels, dashboard, carpets and headliner (black) are flawless. The owner opted for a slightly smaller sport steering wheel and a Wevo short shift kit.

Mechanically, this 911 is very well sorted and ready to be enjoyed. It runs, drives, shifts and brakes just like a classic 911 should. The car feels very tight, pulls strong though all the gears of the 915 five speed transmission and you can tell, this is a well maintained, low mile 911. And it sounds glorious!
Recently serviced by Porsche of Irvine and given a clean bill of health.

The wide Turbo wheels have been finished in sought after RS/R style and they are flawless. A grand sounding Dansk exhaust system has been installed.

The car comes with its original jack and spare (date coded).
A thick folder with service receipts over the years is included.
