ÖLKLAPPE 911S – This highly desirable 2.4 1972 “Oil Flap” 911S is available for purchase.

Only built in ‘72, the oil filler flap was a great idea but too many gas station servicemen made the mistake and filled the oil tank with fuel so Porsche quickly dropped this feature for a while until the revived it on the 959!

Anyways about this car: It’s a very well documented one, down to the first registration docs in Italy. From there it got exported to America before it came back to find a home in France. Absolutely rust free and with a superb patina. Stunning Recaro sport seats in rare “cinnamon” tan leather and corduroy give it a stunning period vibe! This car was built in the quite rare Albert blue colour as confirmed by the COA. It’s a car that will need some TLC, mainly detailing and normal tidy up work, but it’s an amazing very rust free unmolested and very untouched car! We can take care of all that it might need for you or you can get it as it is and work on it yourself on during Summer hollidays!

In 1972 this car was sold in Rome, Italy where it stayed until 1983 when an American from New York bought it.

The car was repainted about 20-30 years ago in America and not used much by it’s last owner who bought it in 2007, he exported the car back to Europe and kept it in his underground garage in Paris using it only from time to time as he lived between USA and France.

When we found the car we had it serviced, rebuilt the shifter linkage, changed all the fluids and gave it a tune up.

The car has documents tracing its ownership all the way back to Italy and it’s maintenance is superbly documented from since it arrived in America till now.

The magnesium engine cases were quite fragile and often exchanged. An un numbered brand new correct 2.4S engine case was installed back in the days in Italy and given its matching identification number.

The paint shows lovely patina and could be left as it is. The interior is absolutely stunning and complements the Albert Blue outside colour fabulously.

The Fuchs wheels are in great condition and fitted with period correct tires that add to the vintage feel when you drive it.

The car is located in Belgium close to Brussels.
