This 1973.5 Porsche 911T Targa F Series was built from January to July of 1973 and featured the Bosch K-Jetronic – Continuous Injection System (CIS) with 140HP. This numbers-matching Targa has benefited from a bare metal rotisserie restoration performed by a marque restoration facility in Southern California. Finished in the original color Lime Green (226) over a Black (16) leatherette interior. Optional equipment from the factory includes US equipment, tinted glass, forged alloy wheels, stabilizer bars front and rear, ‘Koni’ shocks, front spoiler, chrome strips on the fenders, comfort equipment, and engine compartment light.

The restoration included a complete dismantling of all glass and panels, as well as disassembly of the full interior and powertrain. The car was professionally repainted in its original Lime Green color, which Porschephiles recognize as an extremely rare factory color. The paintwork is high quality, with an exceptional shine and no imperfections. The color is quite unique as well, always changing hue in varying light. Excellent gaps and panel fit with aluminum fender trim, 911S side trim, and a 911S front spoiler.

All rubbers seals, gaskets, and squeegees were replaced in addition to a new Targa roof. The interior is in excellent condition and was upholstered including carpets, seats, door panels, and rear and side quarter panels. The front Sports Seats were upholstered in black leather with correct houndstooth inserts. The dash was replaced with a new genuine Porsche unit and the original VDO gauges have been rebuilt, cleaned, cleared, and are fully functional. The sound system is powered by a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 audio system. Fuchs alloy wheels have been refinished and are staggered with 6 and 7’s with Pirelli P6000 185 70 R15 front and 195 65 R15 rear tires.

Mechanically powered by the matching 2.4L Flat Six engine (type 911/91) with the Continuous Injection System (CIS) and runs phenomenal. The matching 915 five-speed manual transmission was completely dismantled, all the internals were inspected, and all the synchros and bearing were replaced. A Wevo short-shift kit and a Stomski Racing coupler were also installed. The braking is a hydraulic four-wheel disc system that stops the car perfectly. The 911 starts, idles, and drives as it should just as it rolled off the assembly line. It offers plenty of power and is truly a blast to drive! This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a 1973.5 911T CIS finished in an exceptional factory color. Complete with owner’s manual, spare tire, and Certificate of Authenticity.
