When Porsche introduced the 930 Turbo in the mid-1970s, it marked a major evolution of the 911. Drawing on racing-honed turbocharging expertise, Porsche created one of the decade’s most dramatic and capable road cars. With its flared fenders, widened stance, and unmistakable rear spoiler, the Turbo delivered supercar performance while retaining everyday usability. Porsche steadily refined the model with a larger 3.3-liter engine, an intercooler, and chassis upgrades. For 1989, the Turbo gained the hydraulically assisted G50 five-speed transmission, providing smoother shifts and better access to the engine’s power.

One of just 244 European-specification Turbo Cabriolets built for 1989, this example was delivered new to Pon Porsche in the Netherlands in December 1988. Finished in the striking color combination of black with a black top over special-order Velvet Red leather, it was optioned with a limited-slip differential, short gear lever, and Blaupunkt Bremen radio. Long retained in Holland, this example was acquired in 2016 for a notable Turbo collection and later sold in 2023. Now showing just over 61,200 km, this Turbo Cabriolet remains highly original and is accompanied by its books, tools, spare, accessories, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, documentation, and recent service invoices totaling €3,398.
