In years past, the Porsche received an exterior repaint in correct color, while portions of the preserved original paint can be seen in the door jambs, engine bay, front and rear compartments. The metallic blue paint is complemented by nicely polished Fuchs. All glass remains original with VW-Audi etchings, and it appears most of the trim, lenses and adornments are original as well. The cabin displays its original Cameo White Leatherette throughout with exceptionally nice carpeting and equipped with Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio and console instruments. The front compartment contains a stowed spare wheel under the original carpeted floorboard, along with original paint, body stampings, factory markings and decals, same for the correct engine and rear compartment with original carpeting, pad and fastened jack. The 914’s undercarriage appears very solid with much of its original finishes.

Presence and drivability are fantastic, with all lights, instruments, safety equipment and auxiliary systems in proper working order (with exception of the clock). A 2020 inspection and service included attention to the intake manifold and vacuum hoses, new rear main seal, correct Bursch muffler, gaskets and hardware. An original owner’s manual in sleeve a small tool roll accompanies the Porsche.
