Porsche 911 Cabrio 3.0 Carrera GTS

Few cars are as characteristic as the Porsche 911. The 991 is yet another evolution on the successful concept that dates back to 1963 (or 1948, if we include the ancestor of the ‘Elfer’, the 356). If we look at the crazy looks of this GTS, we realize once again how clever it is that the design has been holding out for so long and still impresses.

We are positively surprised by the – by Porsche standards – daring dress up. Black on black on black, with red details. Perhaps black on black is not even the most original, but thanks to the GTS trim on this elfer and the gigantic black 20 inch black Turbo S rims (including central wheel nut) we’ve never found black so beautiful. Thanks to the considerable size of the rims, the red brake calipers are also easy to see. We could be worse off…

Interior & equipment

What makes black even more desirable? The fact that it is combined with alcantara, red stitching and carbon details. The beautiful cockpit is visually enhanced by a red stitched GTS logo in the headrests and a wonderfully hand-held alcantara GT sports steering wheel.

Technique & Performance

But what is appearance without performance? The 6-cylinder boxer with double turbo has 450 horsepower at its disposal, and is therefore able to pass 100 km/h from standstill within 3.7 seconds. The PDK transmission and four-wheel drive make it possible to transmit all the power to the asphalt seamlessly and effortlessly respectively. Up to 306 km/h. But the real power of this special 911 lies in the connection between 55 years of solidity and infinite beauty.
