When Porsche launched its Heritage Design Edition series, it set out to reinterpret the brand’s most evocative styling cues from the 1950s through the 1970s for a new generation of enthusiasts. Three limited-production models followed—the 911 Targa 4S, 911 Sport Classic, and 911 Spirit 70—with the 2021 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition debuting first as a celebration of Porsche’s formative decades. Built by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and limited to 992 units, it combined historic finishes, gold logos, white livery, spear-shaped fender graphics, Heritage badging, and the vintage orange bar crest. Inside, Bordeaux Red or Black leather with Atacama Beige corduroy inserts, green-lit gauges, and a numbered plaque complemented a 443-horsepower twin-turbo flat-six and modern 992 performance.

This particular 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, limitation number 625, is likely among the more custom examples of Heritage Editions to emerge from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur workshops. The original owner was not only fortunate enough to secure a Heritage Design allocation but a coveted Paint to Sample (PTS) slot with Porsche noting that the PTS program special requests are integral to satisfying the individual demands that are the core of Porsche. It is finished in the rarely seen historical PTS color of Oslo Blue that harkens back to the 356 B-era of 1962 and 1963. The shade suits the historical nature of the model with aplomb. Porsche describes the interior, here selected in two-tone Bordeaux Red/Atacama Beige OLEA club leather as “Expressive and harmonious and above all timeless.” Furthermore, corduroy fabric makes a return to the interior of the 911, used on the door panels and the seat centers.
