Porsche’s mid-engine Cayman has long been praised for its neutral handling and superb road manners, which were taken to the next level with the introduction of the track-focused Cayman GT4 in 2015. The popularity of the GT4 led Porsche to develop an even more extreme variant of the 718 generation Cayman, aimed at extracting maximum on-track performance. Called the GT4 RS, this Cayman utilized a GT3-derived flat-six and an aerodynamics package that increased downforce by 25% over the standard GT4.

This GT4 RS is an exceptional example, showing just 791 miles when catalogued. Finished in black over a black leather and Race-Tex interior with Deep Sea Blue stitching, this GT4 RS features numerous desirable options, including the sought-after Weissach package. This $13,250 option features numerous pieces of weight-saving carbon fiber and “swan neck” rear wing mounts for increased downforce. Additionally, ceramic composite brakes were optioned for fade-free stopping and they sit behind a set of Satin Indigo-painted wheels. A front-axle lift system was also specified, and the interior features an upgraded Bose sound system and Deep Sea Blue seat belts to match the contrast stitching.

These options brought the total MSRP to $183,470, but the demand for these cars meant the consignor paid $278,709 when he purchased it. Widely regarded as one of the most thrilling Porsches ever built, this GT4 RS represents an exciting opportunity to acquire a low-mileage example in a tasteful specification.
