recipe. The double-bubble roof and ducktail may remain, but the 992 addresses concerns that the former car was little more than Carrera S with a Powerkit(it wasn’t!). Both cars recieved a bespoke body, this example seeing the double-bubble roofline, wide hips of the 911 Turbo, a custom rear ducktail and a modern interpretation of the classic Fuchs wheels. For the new model Porsche have repurposed the drivetrain from the venerable Turbo, re-tuning to accomodate the 7-speed manual gearbox (the only option), driving only the rear wheels.
The bonnet and roof are made from carbon fibre, and whilst it shares its 911 Turbo width hips, it does without the side intakes that have been a part of the Turbo silhouette since 993 Turbo S. The second limited edition to be completed Porsche Exclusive, a department most commonly associated with individual tailoring requests.
The Turbo derived engine develops 542bhp and 442lb ft which sees 0-60 in just 4.1 seconds and top speed of 196mph. Launched in Sport Grey Metallic, most cars were optioned as such. Only a handful of options were available, notably the twin, hand-painted stripes as well as side script and roundels on either side.
This example was supplied new through Porsche West London on 31st March 2023. Limited to 1250 examples, the majority of cars were optioned in Sport Grey Metallic with the alternatives limited to just solid Black, Agate Grey Metallic or Gentian Blue Metallic. The interio sees the the Heritage Design Classic Leather in Black or Cognac with Pepita Houndstooth inserts.
