Exterior
Admittedly, the inky bodywork is not exactly the most original color we encountered on a Porsche. However, have you ever wondered why the dark shade is so immensely popular with the brand? Because models like the 911 are so incredibly beautiful!
This is also the case with this Turbo Cabriolet. However, there is no trace of a deep metallic shine. The stronger is the effect of the original, uniform black uni-lacquer. The unmistakable 911-profile has wheel arches that traditionally offer just as much room for wide rubber than the versions that have to do without turbo. These spaces are filled in style by Turbo design wheels with red brake calipers behind them. Furthermore, the 996-coach is completely damage-free and has not lost any gloss due to a professional paint treatment.
Interior & equipment
The red of the brake calipers is no coincidence, as you can see when you open the door of the Cabriolet. The shade is subtly reflected in the characteristic, sublime finished leather Porsche interior. The emphasis is thus literally and figuratively on the sporty DNA of the Turbo. This specific model is equipped with factory options such as a detachable wind catcher, Bose audio system, navigation, climate control, parking sensors, telephone and electrically adjustable sport seats with memory function.
Technology & performance
Still not convinced? High time to turn the key in the contact. Behind you you will hear the sound of 420 pedaling horses, coming from a 3.6-liter boxer engine. All horses are divided over four wheels via a manual (!) Gearbox including optional Short Shift kit; ready to curl up the asphalt beneath you like a real artist.
The Mezger engine has proven to be the most reliable and powerful of its kind. Motor, transmission and drive line are completely free of play. The history is demonstrable and complete. Invoices, documentation and two keys are included. Together they form a dream package for anyone who intends to enjoy a lot of (kilometers) of fun with this German dream machine for a long time!
