For the transition to the new millennium in 2000, Porsche marketed a special limited edition series of 911 numbered copies with specific equipment: the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 ‘Millennium Edition’ developing 300 hp. Based on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 type 996, the Millennium Edition version is very easily identified thanks to its special purple Chromaflair paint (a paint that takes on different colors depending on the angle of view and the light), its turbo- 18-inch look, its chrome tailpipes, the polished 911 logo on the engine cover. The interior is also model-specific, with a striking contrast: full brown leather upholstery in addition to the seats, burl maple inserts and other elements made by Porsche Exclusive.
