The Club Coupe’s most distinguishing feature is the exclusive Azurro California finish. This paint scheme is a modern interpretation of Azure Blue, made popular on the 356 sports cars from when the PCA was founded over 50 years ago. Stainless-steel doorsills incorporate the 911 Club Coupe logo, and each car bears a badge on the drivers’-side door trim indicating its individual serial number. The Club Coupe was also equipped with the desirable X51 Power Kit. This option increases output of the Carrera S engine from 355 to 381 hp and peak torque from 295 to 306 foot-pounds, making it the most powerful non-turbocharged engine offered in a production 911 for North America at its time of release.
Presented today with only 3,100 miles, serial no. 39 was stored by its first owner in a climate-controlled glass container in its garage that was specifically made for this car. Furthermore, it retains every service record and document since it was ordered new, including the original window sticker for $151,500, original correspondence from Porsche to the first owner, correspondence with Pfaff Porsche, original agreement, window sticker, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original Club Coupe order guide with selected options, and original service invoices from Porsche.
This exceptionally rare 911 Club Coupe is a must-have for any die-hard PCA member. It is presented in as-new condition, with limited original mileage, and is surely the finest such example available.
