For the further development, specific components from the 996 and 997 GT3 R and RSR were specifically adopted to further optimize performance and handling. Combined with Kremer’s extensive modifications, this resulted in a vehicle that differs significantly from the original GT3 Cup version in terms of equipment and technology in nearly every area.
The modifications include, among other things, aerodynamics and the suspension, resulting in a significant improvement in driving dynamics and performance. The installed 4.0-liter engine, producing approximately 550 PS, also offers a significant increase in power compared to the standard GT3 Cup engine.
From 2011 through 2016, Kremer Racing continuously fielded the 997 GT3 KR in the VLN Endurance Championship as well as in the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race and its qualifying event.
A particular highlight of its racing history was the 24-hour race in May 2012. There, Kremer-Racing competed with the 997 GT3 KR in the SP7 class and finished 13th overall while also winning its class.
For the 2015 season, Kremer-Racing rebuilt the car on a new body-in-white purchased directly from the Porsche factory and further modified it in the process.
Between 2022 and 2024, the GT3 KR’s electrical system underwent a comprehensive overhaul and modification. In addition, the interior was prepared for the installation of a second seat and for use as a taxi. A subsequent test run at Bilster Berg served to verify the vehicle’s functions.
A comprehensive spare parts package is available as an option.
We look forward to introducing you to this special vehicle in person.
