Exterior
This 997.2 GT3 Cup is finished in the classic Carrera Weiss color, exactly as it left the factory. The body is in accident-free condition and retains its original factory finish. The car comes with two complete sets of wheels—one set with slicks (mounted on the car) and one set of loose wheels, making it immediately ready for track days or circuit use.
Interior
The interior is entirely focused on performance. The cockpit is equipped with a Motec display that clearly shows all vital data. The OMP steering wheel features integrated control buttons for the Motec display, among other functions; behind the steering wheel are the paddle shifters from Nova Engineering LTD. Additionally, the car is equipped with a brake balance adjuster, an automatic fire suppression system, and the original Airjack system, which allows the car to be quickly jacked up during maintenance or tire changes.
Technical Specifications
The Porsche 911 997.2 GT3 Cup is powered by a six-cylinder boxer engine—high-revving and responsive—specially designed for track use. Power is transmitted via a sequential 6-speed transmission from Porsche Motorsport, which has been upgraded with a Nova Engineering paddle-shift system, allowing for fast and precise shifting without using the clutch. The braking system consists of large steel rotors with six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear, fully adjustable for optimal brake balance and consistent performance, even during intensive track use. Engine: approximately 18 hours; transmission: approximately 9 hours since overhaul.
History
This Porsche 911 997.2 GT3 Cup was delivered new in 2009 (MY2010) and has been maintained with great care ever since. The car has been used exclusively for recreational track driving, and the body shows no signs of severe crashes.
The 2009 (MY2010) Porsche 911 997.2 GT3 Cup is part of an exclusive generation of race cars. Only 2,256 units of the 997.2 GT3 were produced worldwide, a large portion of which were intended for professional competitions such as the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The GT3 Cup version is a pure track car and not approved for public roads, which makes this model particularly rare and sought-after among collectors and car enthusiasts.
Thanks to its low mileage, original condition, and extensive equipment, this is a rare, well-preserved example of the second-generation 997 GT3 Cup—a pure and authentic race car in factory condition.
