Porsche 991 GT3
Highlights
- PDK
- Nice color combination!
- Accident-free!
Under the hood of this 991.1 GT3 lies the naturally aspirated 3.8 liter six cylinder boxer engine with 475 hp, which in this case is configured as an early G engine. This engine code marks a significant technical step forward compared to the older E and F series due to the installation of a revised oil pump and an improved lubrication system. The engine revs effortlessly up to 9000 rpm while the PDK gearbox manages the shifts instantaneously.
For handling, Porsche introduced active rear axle steering on this model, making the car feel both more agile and stable in sharp corners. The focus remains entirely on mechanical feedback and track performance. Nice detail: the 991.1 GT3 was the first Porsche to feature active rear axle steering to simulate the driving dynamics of a shorter wheelbase at low speeds and a longer wheelbase at high speeds.
