🇫🇷 PORSCHE 911 (993) CARRERA CABRIOLET — 1995 — POLAR SILVER METALLIC
G50/21 manual transmission with close-ratio gears – 91,800 km – Continuously registered in France – M220 limited-slip differential
A July 1995 Porsche 911 Type 993 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, presented in its original Polar Silver Metallic finish with a black leather interior.
Delivered new in France by the Porsche A.A.S. Center in Toulouse, this 993 has remained in France since its initial registration. It comes with its original Porsche service booklet, a comprehensive file of invoices covering nearly thirty years of ownership, as well as all of its recent technical inspections.
What sets this example apart above all is the quality and consistency of its mechanical maintenance. Since 2011, the car has been serviced by the same renowned Porsche specialist, who has handled both routine maintenance and major repairs carried out over the past fifteen years. This consistency in maintenance—now rare on the 993 market—is one of the car’s major strengths.
As part of this, two major “engine-out services” were performed in June 2020 at 74,905 km and again in November 2025 at 90,635 km. These services involved replacing the main seals in the powertrain. During the second service, the clutch was also replaced. The alternator, belts, power steering rack, Bilstein suspension, complete soft top, and exhaust system are also among the significant repairs documented in the service history.
In total, more than €25,000 worth of mechanical work and maintenance has been documented over the past fifteen years, with approximately thirty-six invoices filed chronologically. Major repairs were carried out with meticulous care, not as a quick fix to prepare the car for sale, but as part of a commitment to preserving and regularly driving a classic 911.
The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter M64/05 flat-6 engine produces 272 ch in its pre-VarioRam configuration, characteristic of 1995 models. It is paired with the G50/21 6-speed manual transmission with close-ratio gears—particularly popular on naturally aspirated 993s—as well as the original M220 mechanical limited-slip differential. The M224 Active Brake Differential rounds out this setup.
On the road, the car delivers exactly what you’d expect from a well-maintained 993: precise steering, a responsive front end, crisp gear changes, a sharp rev response, and a perfectly healthy engine. The car currently has no identified pending mechanical issues.
The complete Bilstein suspension was installed by a Porsche specialist in March 2011, including front and rear shock absorbers, springs, front control arms, and alignment. The steering rack was serviced in April 2024. The Scart Riva exhaust system was installed in May 2025; the original mufflers have been retained and are included with the car. The complete soft top was replaced in December 2018.
Provenance and traceability are also key aspects of this car. The original Porsche service booklet confirms the M-code C05, indicating delivery in France. The mileage history is consistent and well-documented. The available technical inspection reports, all of which are favorable, further confirm the thorough maintenance record over time.
The body retains its original Polar Silver Metallic paint, Porsche code L92M, as confirmed by the manufacturer’s label and the service booklet. The overall appearance is very attractive and uniform. As with most Porsches nearly thirty years old that have been in regular use, some cosmetic touch-ups have been performed over the course of its life. These are consistent with the car’s age. The underbody was inspected during the last engine-out in November 2025: no corrosion or structural repairs were found.
The interior is entirely original, featuring black leather upholstery, a well-preserved dashboard, the original Porsche steering wheel, and a natural patina consistent with the car’s age and mileage. The leather has not been reupholstered; it retains its original factory material, with no tears or repairs. A Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB car stereo, with a retro look and perfectly integrated, offers modern DAB+, Bluetooth, and USB functionality while respecting the spirit of the interior.
