The paintwork is in very good overall condition with no major flaws. A factory electric sliding sunroof functions perfectly with factory rear drain holes behind the rear quarter windows. The exterior is complemented by chrome trim and brightwork with all original glass. The interior is trimmed in Black upholstery, and the front seats have houndstooth inserts with a VDM steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, rear luggage straps, and a Custom AutoSound radio. The fresh-air blower specified on the Kardex is present, although the blower motor is inoperative. The wheels are 5.5” x 15” KPZ wheels mounted to Michelin XWX tires (2019). The undercarriage is solid and rust-free and has been fully detailed, including the suspension components.
Mechanically powered by a period-correct 356SC 1600cc flat-four engine No. 812819 (Type 616/16) producing 95 horsepower, paired with its matching original 4-speed manual transmission (Type 741), and four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with a tool kit, jack, spare wheel, Messko tire gauge, owner’s manual, Porsche service location booklet, and Porsche Kardex. Recent mechanical attention includes installation of new engine-compartment insulation, a new flywheel and clutch assembly, a new fuel tank, and rebuilt Solex carburetors. Finished in Black over Black with houndstooth inserts and equipped with an operable electric sliding sunroof, it combines long-term ownership, its original transaxle, original glass, and recent mechanical attention.
