Once regarded as one of the most beautiful cabriolet on the market, the Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet was the first trans axel model offered as an open version. Porsche strengthened the floor of the cabriolets, to add more rigidity to the chassis. About 5600 cars were produced between 1989-1991. The 944 S2 is a beautiful car to drive, and it has a perfect weight distribution. The updated engine now at 3 Liters does have a wide torque band and works perfectly in both urban and suburban driving. Now with 240hp, it has good performance all the way up to 240km/h. The 944 S2 bodywork is identical to the 944 Turbo, with an aerodynamically optimized front end, black side skirts, and a body-colored rear diffuser.
Our car was sold new in Sweden and was delivered in MAY 1990 to it´s first owner. The car has been imported to Finland in 2016. There is a full-service history with the car and it has had a light restoration in Finland including a new paint and is now in pristine condition. As the car is accepted as a vintage vehicle, the MOT inspection is valid 4 years at the time. The car has been ordered with many desirable options, and to mention a few it has tan leather seats, air conditioning, and cruise control. The cabriolet top is in good condition and comes with the original wind deflector. The air conditioning has been serviced and the modern attachment points have been installed. The original D90 wheels have the factory specification tires 205/55VR-16 and 225/50VR-16.
Owning and living with a trans axel Porsche that has been fully maintained through it´s life is easy and the excellent build quality is now day’s reflected in low maintenance costs. The 944 Cabriolet top is electrically operated and is quickly folded down. The chassis is in good order and both front and rear shock absorbers have lately been changed. The clutch and starter motor have also just been changed. The engine and drivetrain is dry and there are no leaks around
This car is 100% original and has the original cassette radio. It comes with a complete service history, owner’s manuals, the original spare wheel, a tire inflation compressor, and a tool kit.
