This exceptional Porsche 964 C2 was delivered on February 20, 1990, through the Porsche Center in Lüdenscheid. Not only is the original sales invoice available, but also the original order form. When tax consultant Mr. Johannes W. from Herdecke ordered this car in the spring of 1990, he was far from ordering it in a “bookkeeper’s trim”—a style typical of his mindset. No, it had to be the exact opposite—the car was to appear luxurious and elegant. Slate Gray Metallic (1,486 DM) with black leather upholstery (4,517 DM), a rear window wiper (508 DM), an electric sunroof (2,254 DM), and the optional leather trim (500 DM). On top of that, Mr. W. obviously couldn’t resist treating himself to a “decent” stereo system—the Blaupunkt SQR49—for a hefty 1,098 DM, which he purchased separately from Fernseh Bertlet in Hagen. This all adds up to a hefty total of 115,912 DM, which was equivalent at the time to the cost of a small condominium.
