Completed to Swiss specification on 29 April 1993 and delivered new on 21 August 1993 by Auto Mathis AG of St. Moritz, per its original stamped service booklet. Its Porsche Birth Certificate shows it finished in Black with a Black leatherette interior. The car was specified with heated comfort seats with electric height adjustment, and was joined by air conditioning, cruise control, a leather steering sport wheel, a limited-slip differential, and 17-inch Cup wheels. Lastly, the 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six was paired with the sporting and now highly sought after five-speed manual transmission.
The first owner, Lodovico Antinori from the world famous Antinori Wine dynasty, retained the Speedster until 2002, and a copy of the original Swiss Carte Grise remains on file. The present owner acquired it in 2003. It is registered as a Swiss veteran car, a status reserved for well-preserved examples at least 30 years old. Subtly upgraded since, it carries a modern Porsche Classic radio, along with H&R lowering springs and wheel spacers that sharpen its stance. Today it remains in superb condition and shows 38,500 km at the time of cataloging and comes with an extensive folio of 964-era Speedster literature.
With just 936 built, the 964 Speedster is rarer than many serialized limited-edition 911s today. With the top folded, the air-cooled six just behind the cockpit, and a five-speed in hand, this is the 911 in its most fundamental form.
