Peak 90s Porsche. We are delighted to offer this awesome 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Targa. The right hand drive, C16 (UK spec) car was delivered new by Porsche Lancaster Cambridge on 01/08/93 to a Mr Ferguson in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. In 1995 it was sold to a Mrs Linda Mawson in Cumbria, UK, and registered in the UK for the first time.
This 964 was supplied new in Grand Prix White with Black Leather and D90 alloy wheels. It was originally optioned with option 328 Blaupunkt Symphony stereo (now replaced for modern Bluetooth unit), option 383 and 387 meaning front left and right, electronically adjustable sports seats, option 425 rear window wiper, option 494 stereo amplifier and option 567 top tinted windscreen.
Today, the car has had just 4 previous owners and covered only 70,000 miles. The car was subject to an engine rebuild in 2017 by GT One Porsche Specialists to the tune of £16,500.
Accompanying the car is a the car’s original book back and a history folder documenting not only documenting the above expenditure but also some historic bills and MOTs as well as a 6,000 miles interval service by GT One in June 2022 and half a dozen other more recent invoices where the most recent owner went through the car and remedied all niggles that had arisen through lack of use over the past few years. As such, the car now runs and drives superbly. This is probably the nicest to drive naturally aspirated 964 I’ve ever had the privilege to drive.
Amongst the car’s book pack is the it’s original service book which is fully stamped as follows:
At the time of the most recent MOT in May 2022, it was remarked just how good this 964 was underneath. Testament to its ownership and the care it has received and sparing use it has seen, it has not fallen foul of the usual 964 rot issues. With that said, the car is not perfect. There is a tear in the leather on the driver’s seat, some marks here and there on the paint and some bubbling on the driver’s side rear wing. The targa soft top is in good condition but the vinyl has shrunk slightly around the rear edge but is watertight. The boot spoiler in currently not working.
The most recent owner has fitted a Dansk G Pipe delete exhaust with a 964 RS exhaust tip. It sounds phenomenal. Definitely not loud, but also not whimsical like when the exhaust was stock.
Whilst this car would benefit from minor improvements and nominal expenditure cosmetically, it is priced accordingly and represents exceptional value in the current climate. It would make the ultimate daily driver and a great weekend toy. We’re rather fond of it, as you can probably tell by now…
As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more images, walkaround videos, pictures of the underside and scans of the service history. The car can be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
