EXTERIOR
Few road cars deserve the title of race car for the road quite like the GT3 RS, and with the addition of the full Manthey Racing package this example takes that philosophy even further. Every aerodynamic component has been engineered with purpose, working alongside the lightweight glass and polycarbonate rear and side windows to maximise performance both on the road and circuit.
The GT3 RS already generates remarkable downforce through its front wing louvres, enlarged rear wing and carefully balanced aerodynamic package. Manthey Racing builds upon this with revised front aero elements, side air guides and a carbon fibre Gurney flap, further increasing stability and high-speed grip without compromising the car’s balance.
Large side-mounted air intakes feed the 4.0-litre flat-six with cooler, cleaner air than a traditional roof-mounted intake, improving efficiency while amplifying the induction note within the cabin. The result is a driving experience that is every bit as engaging as it is capable.
INTERIOR
The cabin is every bit as focused as the exterior, centred around carbon fibre 918 bucket seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara. Yellow contrast stitching, matching seat belts, harnesses and the 12 o’clock steering wheel marker create a purposeful Rennsport-inspired environment.
Specified with the desirable Weissach Package, the interior features a titanium roll cage, embossed headrests and the Weissach plaque above the glovebox. A motorsport steering wheel further enhances the driving experience, while lightweight carpets underline the car’s uncompromising approach to weight saving.
The driver is presented with clear analogue instrumentation alongside intuitive controls for front axle lift, switchable exhaust, PASM suspension settings and Porsche Stability Management, ensuring the GT3 RS remains equally rewarding on road or circuit.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Hidden beneath the lightweight engine cover sits Porsche’s naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six, producing 520bhp and revving to an exhilarating 9,000rpm. Its razor-sharp throttle response and unmistakable soundtrack make it one of the finest engines of the modern era.
Unlike earlier GT3 models, the 991.2 GT3 RS benefits from a host of motorsport-derived upgrades, including a solid valve train inspired by the 911 RSR, revised engine lubrication and strengthened internal components. The result is increased power, improved durability and exceptional performance on both road and circuit.
The reprogrammed PDK 7 speed box is the latest in Porsche rapid fire drivetrain development, punching through the gears in a seamless and continuous fashion.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted with Manthey lightweight magnesium wheels, the rear houses a carbon disc in order to reduce air resistance and makes the perfect addition to a mega combination of aerodynamic components. Wrapped in a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, ensuring exceptional grip and performance.
The PCCB brakes have been swapped for PFC discs – known for their strong performance as an official partner and supplier to Porsche Motorsport since 2013.
