The car’s main selling point is its mechanical condition, which is rare on today’s market: two successive engine-out services were performed, at 74,905 km in June 2020 and then at 90,635 km in November 2025. The entire flat-6 engine was resealed (upper and lower rocker cover gaskets, timing cover gaskets, and—during the second service—the flywheel and input shaft oil seals, the only ones that had not been replaced in 2020). New clutch with less than 1,500 km on it since the last engine-out, new alternator, new belts, and the cooling turbine has been sandblasted and repainted.
In short: the car currently has no identified deferred mechanical work. The major issues have been addressed. This is precisely what sets this example apart from the majority of 993s currently available on the market.
Engine, Transmission, Suspension
3.6-liter naturally aspirated M64/05 flat-6, 272 ch, pre-VarioRam configuration characteristic of 1995 production models. The original character: a more abrupt rise in RPM, a sharp surge beyond 4,000 rpm—a signature mechanical trait before the 1996 VarioRam system smoothed out the torque curve.
G50/21 manual transmission with close-ratio gears, particularly sought-after on naturally aspirated 993s with manual transmissions. Smooth shifting, well-maintained synchros, new clutch installed in November 2025.
40% mechanical limited-slip differential (M220) and Active Brake Differential (ABD) (M224), both documented in the original Porsche service record. The ABD provides electronic management of traction loss through individual brake control, complementing the mechanical limited-slip differential.
Complete Bilstein suspension system installed by a Porsche specialist in March 2011 (front and rear shock absorbers, springs, complete front control arms, alignment). M033 specification (Porsche lowered suspension), fully broken in after 26,000 km. Steering rack serviced by a Porsche specialist in April 2024 (seals, bellows, wheel alignment).
New Scart Riva exhaust system installed in May 2025; original mufflers retained and included with the car. New complete soft top installed in December 2018 (invoice from a Porsche specialist for €2,798), power-operated, perfectly watertight.
On the road: perfect straight-line stability and steering precision characteristic of a fully healthy drivetrain. Smooth revving with no temperature fluctuations. The flat-6 engine and air-cooling system confirm their mechanical condition under real-world use.
Origin and History
Delivered new on July 24, 1995, at a Porsche Center in France. Continuously registered in France since 1995, never re-imported, with a single French vehicle registration certificate. M-code C05 (France delivered) recorded in the original Porsche service booklet.
The logbook is complete, stamped since the first service at 4,600 km, and the mileage history is fully traceable over 30 years.
In the five technical inspections the car has undergone (2011, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2026)—all of which were passed—the lambda values remained between 0.999 and 1.010, and the idle CO level was less than or equal to 0.04%, documenting perfect combustion over fifteen years.
Invoice Records
Over 25,000 € worth of documented mechanical work performed over the last fifteen years by the same Porsche specialist and official Porsche dealerships, comprising approximately thirty-six invoices filed chronologically. Engine-out 2020 (5,600 €), engine-out 2025 (3,534 €), complete soft top (€2,798), complete Bilstein suspension (€3,558), Scart Riva exhaust (€2,469), steering rack (€1,699). These figures can be verified, invoice by invoice, in the binder provided to the buyer.
Body Condition
Polar Silver Metallic, Porsche code 92M confirmed on the original manufacturer’s label and in the Porsche service booklet. Original color.
The car is 30 years old. Like virtually all 993s that have been in regular use over three decades, it shows signs of cosmetic paintwork repairs (touch-ups for chips, reapplication of clear coat, localized repainting). This is to be expected from a car that has seen a lot of use, and is consistent with its age. The paintwork is generally very attractive and uniform. There are a few very minor chips.
A previous cosmetic repair, documented by paint thickness measurements, on the upper part of the right front fender (old parking sensor, pre-2010). The repair is flawless; the fender is removable, and the underlying structure is undamaged. The rear engine hood is entirely original (paint thickness measurements range from 123 to 180 µm), providing clear evidence that the car has never been involved in a rear-end collision.
The rocker panels are sound; the underbody was inspected during the last engine removal in November 2025, with no corrosion and no structural repairs.
Interior
Original black leather (interior code LT), complete upholstery with no tears or repairs, perforations intact. Characteristic patina of a well-maintained, thirty-year-old original leather interior.
The 993 market now values preserved original leather more highly than leather that has been reupholstered after restoration: the factory material is irreplaceable once it’s gone, and the patina tells the car’s story.
Original dashboard with no cracking or warping. Original Porsche steering wheel, center console, and flexible bellows. Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB retro-Porsche car stereo (DAB+ / Bluetooth / USB), integrated into the console. Original Drive Block System intact.

Background of the sale
The current owner has been a Porsche enthusiast for over twenty years. He has owned several generations of Porsches (964 Carrera 2, 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, Cayman GT4, Taycan, and other models), including his first 993 in the 2000s (also a pre-VarioRam configuration, so a truly well-considered choice). This second 993 is being sold due to plans to move abroad.
