X51 Factory Performance Upgrade – 345 PS
This vehicle is equipped with the rare Porsche factory performance upgrade X51. The upgrade increased engine output to 254 kW / 345 PS and, in addition to the actual performance optimization, included various technical modifications to the engine and cooling system.
Among other things, the X51 package includes:
- an additional front-mounted water cooler, similar to the 996 Turbo
- an optimized aluminum intake manifold instead of the standard plastic version
- optimized camshafts
- an optimized oil pan
- additional components tailored to the power increase
The additional cooling capacity and the optimized components contribute to robust and thermally more efficient engine operation.
The engine was inspected as part of the recent technical inspection and shows no abnormalities. The vehicle drives superbly and, as of now, exhibits no significant oil consumption.
