2003 Porsche 911 Turbo

When the 996-generation 911 Turbo debuted for 2000, it brought forced induction to Porsche’s water-cooled flagship with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six whose architecture traced directly to the Le Mans-winning 911 GT1 program. Producing 415 horsepower and driving all four wheels, the new Turbo could dispatch 60 mph in approximately four seconds and continue to a top speed of 189 mph, placing it firmly among the supercar elite of its era while retaining the everyday usability for which the 911 was renowned.

According to its Porsche-issued Certificate of Authenticity, this example was completed on 7 February 2003 and finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Black full leather interior, carrying a suggested retail price of $125,420. Notably, the car was ordered without a sunroof, a desirable seldom-seen specification, and further equipped with no fewer than nine “X-code” options comprising the Dark Wood Interior Package, leather-covered ignition lock surround, and metal door sill model insignia. Additional options included wheel caps with full-color Porsche crests and a Becker-Porsche CDC-3 six-disc CD changer.

The vehicle in detail

Delivered new to a Porsche enthusiast in Michigan who would retain the car for over two decades, invoices on file suggest that at some point early in its life, this 911 Turbo was modified with enhancements from ROOCK, the Leverkusen, Germany tuning house founded by racer Fabian Roock. Having begun as a family Porsche repair shop, ROOCK turned to racing in 1990 and claimed a class victory at the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans before establishing an American operation alongside Road Atlanta in 1999, which pivoted to building tuned Porsche street cars in 2001. While the full extent of the work performed remains undocumented, its ROOCK equipment presently includes 19-inch two-piece Competition wheels, red-painted brake calipers, adjustable suspension, a front splitter, a rear spoiler lip, side graphics, a bolt-in roll bar, a short shift kit, aluminum pedals, and a Supersprint exhaust system.

The accompanying clean CARFAX Vehicle History report corroborates the car’s long-term ownership in Michigan from new, with regular servicing at the supplying Porsche dealer in Okemos and an average of fewer than 500 miles driven per year. In 2026, the car joined its current Illinois-based consignor, and its odometer today displays just under 10,600 miles at the time of cataloging. A well-maintained, low-mileage 911 Turbo wearing its original Basalt Black paint and a desirable six-speed manual, non-sunroof specification with tasteful ROOCK modifications, it is sure to draw a crowd at PCA gatherings for years to come.
