The first 911 Turbo was unveiled in 1974 at the Paris Motor Show. From that point on, direct gasoline injection improved the engine’s power, torque, and responsiveness, while reducing fuel consumption. The Porsche 997 Turbo S was unveiled to the public in 2010 and thus benefited from the facelift of the 997 generation. Equipped with the PDK transmission, shift times were reduced and efficiency improved thanks to the 7th gear. The new valve control system and optimized engine management software boosted power to 530 ch and torque to 700 Nm.
Equipped as standard with the Sport Chrono Turbo Package, which includes dynamic suspension, adaptive sport seats, cruise control, and a BOSE audio system, the 997 Turbo S is the ultimate evolution of the 997 lineup among models suitable for everyday use. The forged aluminum “RS Spyder” wheels with center caps showcase the yellow calipers of the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system. The 3,800 cm³ 6-cylinder engine propels the car’s four passengers to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h for the Turbo S Cabriolet.
