Fully restored, historically important Albert Blue Porsche 911 S. This car is one of the first 911 2.2 S cars of the 1970 model year build in 1969. Fully matching numbers and color are confirmed by Porsche Certificate of Authentity.  The car was delivered to its first owner, His Majesty, Prince Bertil of Sweden in November 1969 in front of  his home Villa Solbacken in Stockholm. This event  has been documented in several original pictures from the delivery ceremony. Prince Bertil, was a keen car man and Porsche enthusiast, who earlier had owned e.g. a blue 356 Carrera 2 and an Ossi Blue SWB 911 S, model year 1968. After this 1970 911S he ordered a Gulf Blue 1973 911 Carrera RS.

El vehículo en detalle

After a long documented life in Sweden, this car was build for classic rally in Netherlands. The car joined then Carrera Classic collection and went trough a 3 years and over two thousand hours full bare metal restoration. The engine and gearbox were rebuild, all mechanical and electrical parts were overhouled. The car was returned fully to its original specification with a new Beige/Pepita interior. The car had originally special non-Porsche mirrors, which can be seen at the delivery ceremony. After our contacts with old Scania Vabis mechanics who installed them, we have been able to confirm that these mirror were accessory mirrors bought in Stockholm at the time.  These mirrors are similar to the ones used in the Swedish rally car of Björn Waldegård in 1968/1969 season. The car has correct Blaupunkt radio, the yellow 169 Hella fog lamps, period correct drivers manuals and tools. The car has also the original Porsche mudflaps which were used in Sweden at the time.

The car is now in concourse condition with top level Classic Data evaluation of 1 (Scale 1-5). The car is now in Finnish Veteran Vehicle Register with FIVA identity card.  The car has been featuring in several Finnish car magazines as a show case of high standard classic car restoration The car has been used only in exhibitions and test drives for journalist. It has still very limited milage after the full renovation. The car comes with original registration documents in the name of the Prince and the well documented ownership history in Sweden and  in Netherlands.

The 1970 model 911 S got a new 2,2 liter MFI engine with 180 bhp. To be able to compete in performance with the earlier 1969 2,0 liter model S, the car went trough some modifications to reduce its weight e.g. engine lid and registration backplate were made out of aluminium. In total there were 1744 911 S Coupe cars build in model year 1970.
