In 1972, Porsche introduced what has come to be regarded as one of its finest variations on the classic 911 platform – the 2.4 S. Built during a two-year period, the 2.4-liter 911 S featured a 190 hp fuel-injected flat-six, improved type 915 transaxle, and myriad refinements that made the magnificently engineered 140 mph sports car a well-rounded performer. Just 1,430 S coupes were completed for 1973, the final year of “early 911” production.

According to factory records, this 2.4 S was built in February 1973, finished in Tangerine over black leatherette, and equipped with KONI shock absorbers, tinted glass, and Pirelli tires. As recorded in the original maintenance book, this car was sold new via Forest Lane Porsche-Audi of Dallas, to its first owner, Robert Juge. Years later, the Porsche relocated to Georgia, where it was owned by an active member of the Early 911S Registry and R Gruppe.

Since 2007, this Porsche has been cherished by a Los Angeles-based collector. Throughout his ownership, North American Racing Werks of Reseda, California, has overseen all maintenance work, including an engine rebuild in 2013. Reported by the consignor to retain much of its factory-applied Tangerine paint, this 911 S is ideally equipped with sport seats, driving lights, and a Blaupunkt radio. Included with the sale is the original maintenance book, owner’s manual, radio literature, jack, and service records. Presented here is a rare opportunity to acquire a superb example of a beloved Porsche model.
