1 of only 191 units delivered ex-factory with an engine power upgrade to 355 hp. The X33 option. Rolf Sprenger, at the time head of the Porsche Customer Centre in Zuffenhausen, expressed himself as follows: “For some of our customers the performance will never be enough”
From 1992 it was possible to order an engine upgrade bearing the optioncode X33.
Special Camshafts with increased overlap times and increased valve lift. The induction ports were enlarged and disruptive edges removed. A slightly increased boost pressure all togehter improved the power output by around 10%. he torque improved as well to 471 Nm.
