Nowadays, at Porsche “Sonderwunsch” you get to choose from an extensive pallet of paint colors and interior colors to have a Porsche made completely to your liking. Back in the days of the 993 generation, the Sonderwunsch program went a step further. For example, it was common for someone to opt for a “slant-nose” conversion, or a modified engine for more power. This example with the “WLS 1” package is a fine example of that. The abbreviation WLS stands for Werksleistungssteigerung and thus causes the power to be increased from 408 to 430 HP. At the time, this was a package that could be installed afterwards, or on a new car ex-factory. This example belongs to the latter category which makes it extra special.

If you have never heard of the WLS 1 package, that is not very strange. After all, Porsches with this package are extremely rare. We don’t have exact numbers, but reportedly there are about 528 examples in Europe. Of those 528 examples, there are a handful for sale at the moment, of which we dare say that this one is the állermost beautiful. Not only because of its timeless design – Arctic Silver metallic on black leather – but also because of its condition and history.

We took over this car from its first(!) owner. He was extremely careful with the 993 Turbo and took extremely good care of it. This is evidenced by the fact that the original paint is immaculate and all maintenance has been performed by Porsche Center Frankfurt. Truly all invoices are present, from start to finish as well as all original accessories.
