2007 PORSCHE 997 GT3 GEN 1 for sale in UK!
In 1999 Porsche launched a new limited edition of its 996 model called the GT3. In typical Porsche fashion, it was visually similar to an aero equipped standard car, but it was a very different machine from a technical perspective. A Generation 2 model followed in 2003 before an all new 997 GT3 arrived in 2006. The engine was still based on the original Mezger crankcase but featured all new internals, and power was up to 415BHP @ 7600RPM, allowing the 0-60MPH dash to come up in 4.3 seconds whilst top speed increased to 193MPH. The biggest gains were made with the new aero and chassis package, allowing the 997 GT3 to shave 12 seconds off the previous models’ lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
