PORSCHE 997 TURBO 3.6 480CV 2006 – The 997 generation was an evolution of the 996 with many changes designed to improve quality while maintaining its winning combination of performance and usability. Although the 997 Carrera models appeared in 2004, it wasn’t until 2006 that the Turbo version was presented. First shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006, it was initially offered as a coupé. Powered by the famous Flat-6 3.6-litre ‘Mezger’ engine derived from the Competition, with four-wheel drive, power rose to 480 hp compared to its predecessor, thanks largely to a pair of intelligent Borg Warner VTG variable geometry turbochargers, a first for Porsche to date. The 997 Turbo is 41 kg lighter than its predecessor due to the extensive use of aluminium in the main elements of the car. It easily reaches 310km/h.
