2007 Porsche 997 Turbo

9FF. To the untrained eye, you might think it’s a homemade decal trim that plays on ‘911’, but that’s far from the truth. Although a fairly young company with its start in 2001, 9FF has focused on making seemingly reality disconnected kits for Porsche’s legendary model. Power, top speed and acceleration are often the focus points when the company sinks its teeth into a car. Something that often ends with records for either just acceleration or top speed.

Il veicolo in dettaglio

When Porsche launched the first generation of the 997 Turbo, it was an obvious platform for the 9FF to build on. 480hp, four-wheel drive and much more meant that just the foundation was quite angry. However, the product that 9FF chose to launch under the name TR-60 turned this up a couple of levels. Something that may not be immediately obvious when you see the car for the first time.

This particular example is a 997.1 Turbo TR-60 wearing a solid black exterior with the now classic 997 turbo rims with a brushed finish. 9ff which on most of its cars has chosen to keep the exterior largely unmodified, something that suits the sober and elegant 997 Turbo very well. Improving on a shape that so elegantly combines class with performance is difficult without going too far in either direction. Here they have contented themselves with replacing the Porsche coat of arms on the hood with their own emblem, which is also complemented by 9FF emblems on both doors and the bonnet. Discreet and ‘if-you-know-you-know’.

The interior is covered in black leather throughout with exposed seams in the usual places, but here also extended over, for example, the steering column and doors. Details that give a wonderful feeling that the whole car has been well thought out already when it left the factory. Other obvious things in Turbo cars are of course also present here, such as SportChrono and sound from BOSE. The inside is just as discreetly modified as the outside. Maybe more. The only detail here is the tachometer which has received a new red marking that is marginally higher than original.

But what has so far been discreet and low-key ends here. A turn of the key to start the drive package which now puts out a slightly terrifying 600Hp and 780Nm sends a vibration down the spine that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up straight. Part of the updated drive package is the exhaust system which can be adjusted via a switch on the kickplate but it is strongly recommended to leave this open. The driving experience is enhanced by the manual gearbox which, just like on a normal Turbo, sends the power out to all four wheels.

An extremely well-maintained car that is accompanied by binders of receipts as well as all conceivable documentation from both Porsche and 9FF. 9780 miles and in an extremely well maintained condition.
