Overdrive Automobile is proud to offer for sale one of only 1,963 examples of the Porsche 996 ‘40th Anniversary’, released in 2003 to celebrate 40 years of the 911! This special edition features exclusive equipment unique to this special series, making it one of the rare and most sought-after 996s: 996 Turbo/4S front bumper with body-color painted grilles, GT3 side skirts, polished 5-spoke wheels, GT Silver Grey body color (the color of the Carrera GT hypercar) and, most importantly, under the bonnet, the X51 kit which upgrade the power to 345 bhp.

This it the 996 Carrera 2S that never existed, very similar to the 996 GT3 (production number, very close performance results, sporting DNA, etc) – which is only increasing in value!

The interior also benefits from a touch of exclusivity, with special perforated dark grey natural leather, heated sports seats with shells painted in the same color as the bodywork, as well as the centre console and electric sunroof.

In terms of the chassis, this anniversary 911 comes standard with 10 mm lower suspension and limited-slip differential.

Our model, numbered 798, has a special history, as it belonged to a driver from the official Porsche racing team !

History :

Sold new in Italy, the car arrived in France in 2013 – It was owned by an official french Porsche Racing driver.

The service history of this vehicle has been fully documented since its origin – all the maintenance invoice come with the car.

The IMS bearing, a known weakness of this model, has been enhanced by a Porsche specialist – Flat69 – by a LNEngineering part.

In 2024, the Porsche Centre in Avignon also completely renovated the steering system (€5,500 worth of work) and the air conditioning (€1,600).
The paint thickness measurement we carried out indicates that 80% of the car’s paintwork is original, which is quite rare and indicates that it has never been involved in an accident.

Sold with its logbook, original documentation and three keys.
