We are excited to offer this gorgeous 2012 Porsche Carrera 997.2 GTS Coupe.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of collectible automobiles. This rare and sought after GTS Coupe is one of those examples!

In 2011, Porsche launched a new, mid-level 911 coming in above the Carrera and below the GT3. Ranging from $103,100 to US$112,900, the Carrera GTS was available as both a Coupe and Cabriolet. The GTS gets a wider body and track – the only Carrera variant with a wide track that is also exclusively rear wheel drive. The GTS also has an upgraded 3.8-litre engine generating a maximum power output of 408 metric horsepower. All GTS vehicles came standard with center lock wheels, Alcantara interior and other optional extras such as Porsche Sports Exhaust and PASM.

Our car on offer is a 2012 rear wheel drive example with PDK transmission. Finished in classic Carrara white over anhtracite Alcantara interior.

This GTS is not only very rare (only 639 GTS rwd Coupes coming to the US), but also has a unique power kit – also later used in the 997 Speedster and Sport Classic special editions. The GTS’s power increase produces the same 408 hp result, but is different from the Carrera S X51 kit. Most of the 3.8’s 23-hp increase in the GTS is from a bespoke variable-resonance intake manifold. It utilizes six vacuum-controlled flaps that alter the air’s path to the cylinders at different rpm, optimizing torque and power. Ported and polished cylinder heads, a sport exhaust, and a remapped ECU round out the changes.
