THE CAR
This 2017 Intermeccanica S was personally commissioned by the seller and custom-specified as his interpretation of an early Pre-A Speedster with a restrained Outlaw character.
Intermeccanica’s March 2017 factory invoice identifies the vehicle as an Intermeccanica S “pre-A” “outlaw” sports car and a custom-built reproduction of the 1955 356 Speedster. It documents Intermeccanica’s in-house tubular-steel perimeter chassis and Canadian-made one-piece composite body.
Rather than copying one particular original Porsche, the objective was to combine early Speedster proportions and simplicity with stronger performance and discreet modern conveniences. The seller selected the exterior colour, leather, piping, carpet, top, controls, wheels and mechanical specification as a coordinated design.
DESIGN AND EXTERIOR
The body is finished in Graublau (Grey Blue), RAL 5008, with a beige Haartz Stayfast top and matching boot cover. The factory invoice documents a deliberately minimalist Outlaw treatment that deleted the rocker decorations, side mouldings, hubcaps, front and rear bumpers, bumper mouldings and brackets, and hood handle.
Other documented exterior details include a louvered rear deck lid, chrome windshield frame, Pre-A-style beehive rear lamps, H4 halogen headlights, a painted 550 Spyder-style licence-plate light and a custom LED reverse light.
INTERIOR
The cabin was specified with approximately 115 square feet of full tan leather (VO 945), parchment-colour piping (VO 960), silver/blue square-weave carpet with black binding and matching custom floor mats.
A 390 mm ivory Banjo steering wheel is paired with ivory knobs and trim, stainless-steel dash and door-panel trim, an original-look shifter and reproduction Pre-A-style VDO instrumentation. The gauges include a kilometre-per-hour speedometer, 8,000-rpm tachometer and oil-temperature gauge.
Period appearance is combined with heated seats, hidden-switch power side windows, retractable three-point seatbelts, courtesy lighting, flip-out cupholders, two-speed/delay wipers, an electric washer and front quarter-panel storage pockets. A RetroSound II system provides Bluetooth streaming and USB/iPod connectivity through discreetly installed components.
ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN
The car was ordered with a 2,110 cc CB Performance high-performance air-cooled flat-four. The factory invoice documents CB Performance 2,000 round-port CNC-ported cylinder heads, dual 44 mm Weber IDF carburetors, CB Unitech connecting rods, 1.5-inch heat exchangers, breakerless ignition, a rotary electric fuel pump and a 72-plate full-flow oil cooler with electric fan and automatic temperature control.
Intermeccanica’s build specification rated the engine at 145 hp at 5,500 rpm and 142 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm. The original CB Performance engine-dyno sheets dated January 6, 2017 record a peak of 154.3 hp and 169.1 lb-ft. These are engine-dyno figures from the original build, not a current chassis-dyno test.
The engine is paired with Intermeccanica’s Sport high-performance four-speed manual transmission and a 3.88:1 final-drive ratio.
CHASSIS, SUSPENSION AND BRAKES
The factory specification includes four-wheel independent suspension with trailing arms and torsion bars, gas shock absorbers, reinforced 24 mm rear torsion bars, 19 mm front and rear anti-roll bars, urethane suspension bushings, dropped front spindles and four-wheel disc brakes.
The car rides on 15 x 5.5-inch Vintage Motorcars 190 alloy wheels with five-bolt hubs. It was originally specified with 195/55R15 tires.
OWNERSHIP, DOCUMENTATION AND RECENT SERVICE
The car’s original custodian commissioned it new and took delivery in April 2017. A current odometer photograph taken September 14, 2026 records 10,969 km. The latest supplied Intermeccanica invoices, dated August 24, 2026, record 10,890 km.
The documentation package includes the original five-page factory invoice/build specification, original CB Performance engine documents and dyno results, pre-delivery and break-in inspection paperwork, recent Intermeccanica invoices and a current CARFAX Canada report.
History & Documentation
The car has been continuously owned by the seller since being commissioned new in 2017 and comes with extensive documentation, including the original Intermeccanica build specification and invoice, CB Performance engine documentation and dyno report, break-in records, recent Intermeccanica service invoices and a current CARFAX Canada report.
The complete CARFAX report, photographs and additional documentation are available to serious prospective buyers.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND CURRENT CONDITION
The gallery combines photographs of the completed car with detailed images from its original construction. The seller reports that the car remains visually unchanged from the completed-car photographs. A current odometer photograph taken September 14, 2026, is included and records 10,969 km.
LOCATION AND INTERNATIONAL SALE
The vehicle is located in Vancouver, Canada. International and European buyers are welcome. The buyer can arrange export and shipping at their expense. As the vehicle does not have European type approval, prospective buyers should confirm individual import, technical approval and registration requirements with the relevant authority in their country before purchase.
The vehicle is represented as an Intermeccanica-built 356 Speedster recreation, not as an original Porsche.
