“Clubsport” is more than just a name here. The weight savings are particularly noteworthy. To achieve this, features such as power windows, rear seats, and side and rear panel trim have been omitted. Even the typical fog lights are missing. Even a sun visor—at least for the front passenger—is nowhere to be found. This results in a curb weight of just 1,160 kilograms, about 100 kilograms less than in a well-equipped production model. To properly handle this lightweight car on the road, the Clubsport’s suspension has been tuned even stiffer. As a result, this special edition sits 30 mm lower.

The interior also conveys its motorsport heritage. A shorter shift throw and the standard roll bar make it clear what the Clubsport was designed for. The extended steering wheel hub and the deep, fabric-upholstered sports seats ensure the correct seating position and offer excellent lateral support.

With only 189 coupes produced in the 231PS version, the 3.2 Clubsport special edition is now very rare and in high demand. This particular vehicle was first registered in May 1989, the final model year of the G-Series. It has 170,000 kilometers on the odometer.
