This Speedster was originally delivered in Germany and is currently in its third ownership; the first owner owned the vehicle from 1989 to 1998. Since 1998, the car has been owned by a family and was passed down once to the son within that family—all changes of ownership and registration entries are documented, and the original vehicle registration certificate from the 1990s is also still available. The original owner’s kit, including the service booklet (with various entries in the service log) and the original supplement to the Speedster owner’s manual, is of course also included.
Since 2022, the vehicle has been part of a small Porsche collection within our client base and has been driven carefully for only about 1,000 km during that time. As part of the purchase in 2022, we also inspected the vehicle beforehand during a pre-purchase consultation and found it to be in good condition. During this inspection, we also verified that the Speedster has “matching numbers,” with positive results.
Since then, we have also been providing service for this vehicle. In 2025, this Speedster finally underwent a comprehensive technical overhaul, so it is now completely up to date with all maintenance.

MODEL HISTORY OF THE SPEEDSTER & PRODUCTION NUMBERS
The 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster was a special edition model based on the Carrera 3.2 from the final year of the G-series; with its low windshield, lightweight soft top, and characteristic twin air intakes, it evoked the purist 356 Speedster. Most units were built in the wide-body Turbo Look, while a few were produced in the narrow-body version. A total of 2,104 vehicles were produced, of which 1,944 were wide-body and 171 were narrow-body. The most common exterior colors for the Speedster include Guards Red, Grand Prix White, and Solid Black—less common are colors such as Silver, Dark Blue, and Slate Gray, or the very few examples in custom colors (Paint to Sample).
CONDITION OF BODY, PAINT, & INTERIOR
This Speedster is in absolutely original condition. The vehicle is almost entirely in its original paint (exception: driver’s side panel & color-matching on the door; this involved subtle cosmetic repainting, which was executed to flawless quality with no color discrepancies; an invoice from the Porsche Center is available, as are photos). The Speedster was driven only in good weather and with the utmost care—consequently, it has no rust and virtually no stone chips. Naturally, all original decals (hood, trunk color decal, etc.) are still in place. The entire full-leather interior is in its original condition, with a slight patina commensurate with its mileage. Throughout its life, it was also driven with a second set of black floor mats (see photos). The soft top is also in good condition, with no discoloration, holes, or tears.
TECHNICAL CONDITION
The Speedster has been maintained according to the factory service schedule and also underwent a comprehensive technical overhaul just 100 km ago in August 2025. During this process, we replaced many of the original components—such as the still-original shock absorbers, the original clutch, the original control arms, brake hoses, and much more. This was done solely due to the vehicle’s age and with the goal of restoring its excellent factory-spec handling, not because of mileage-related wear and tear. The following work was completed using OEM-quality parts:

- Adjusting valve clearance
- Fuel and air filters
- Transmission oil change
- Replacement of ignition distributor cap and rotor (Bosch)
- Replacement of spark plugs (Bosch)
- Replacement of ignition cable set (Beru)
- Replacement of clutch as a complete set (Sachs), including release bearing, etc.
- Replacement of TDC sensor on starter ring gear / flywheel (Bosch)
- Replacement of fuel line to pressure regulator
- V-belt replacement
- Installation of Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB BT radio / retro look with Bluetooth and hands-free system
The total investment in this Speedster as part of this recent technical overhaul amounted to approximately €13,500. As a result, this vehicle has no outstanding maintenance issues and is ideally suited for reliable and enjoyable driving.
DELIVERY
This Speedster is being sold on behalf of a client with a new TÜV inspection, completed H-certification, and a current appraisal report for classic car insurance.
