Specific to the 1972 model year, the famous oil filler flap located on the right rear fender is now one of the most prized distinguishing features of this generation.
The 911 E pairs its 2,341 cm³ mechanically injected flat-six engine, producing 165 ch, with a five-speed manual transmission, offering a remarkable balance between the T and the more radical S.
The Porsche certificate confirms the Albert Blue – code 18 / Red Leatherette – code 43 configuration, as well as the original engine and transmission numbers.
The numbers on the car were recorded and photographed during an appraisal and match those on the Porsche certificate: engine no. 6220826 and transmission no. 325169, documented as matching numbers.
Documented History
The bodywork was fully repainted in 2008 in Albert Blue.
In 2013, the car underwent extensive work at Porsche Vélizy, focusing in particular on the bodywork, anti-corrosion treatments, and the rear axle, including the removal and reinstallation of the powertrain.
Its extensive invoice file also documents numerous mechanical repairs, including a thorough overhaul of the mechanical fuel injection system, specifically involving the restoration of the pump, replacement of all six injectors, and adjustment/synchronization of the system.
