The Targa is in truly excellent condition, both visually and on the road, because it was optimized without regard to cost; even the air conditioning works flawlessly, and the paint has been renewed with a two-coat ceramic sealant.
In February 2015, the US odometer reading of 57,044 miles was removed at Tachometer-Dienst GmbH in Darmstadt at the owner’s request, converted to a kilometer reading of 91,270 km, and replaced; meaning that since 2015, the current owner has driven only about 13,000 km in beautiful weather; whether the mileage reading was original at the time of the conversion, no one can say today, The odometer currently reads 104,019 km, and one can certainly believe these figures because this Targa has no history of repairs and simply drives wonderfully in every aspect of the joy of driving a Porsche 911.
The incredibly elaborate repaint in dark anthracite gray complements the original “Cork” interior perfectly; the sport seats offer excellent support, and the engine, paired with the 5-speed transmission, drives fantastically.
Bottom line: Get in and enjoy—someone with a great deal of expertise has invested in the right areas and turned this Targa into a true gem of 911 history. there are no issues that would detract from the driving pleasure—no rust and no problems with the engine or transmission. The Targa is ready to go for your next trip to Sylt, Knokke, Paris, Olpe, or all the way to Nice and beyond; the modern Porsche Classic Radio will keep you entertained along the way with all the highlights, including Bluetooth, radio, navigation, and more.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, classic Targa that’s simply meant to bring you joy—because someone before you has perfectly optimized the car—then you should come see this vehicle in person in Cologne.
Last but not least, here’s an important detail: When the car was repainted, an original Porsche rear spoiler was purchased and installed at the current owner’s request; however, this can also be swapped out for the existing, standard tailgate, as it was painted in the same color during the restoration and is available. The choice is yours, and both options are, of course, included in the sale.
The sale is being conducted on behalf of a private client.
Viewings are welcome at any time by appointment; if desired, the car can be raised on a lift to allow a complete inspection of the underbody and mechanical components—this honest Targa has nothing to hide.
