The 964 Porsche Cabriolet from 1994 is the final model year of the 964 generation, the year Porsche ended production to make way for the 993. This example is a Carrera 2 with the second series M64/02 engine, a 3.6 litre air-cooled flat-six with improved oil cooling and revised distributor drive compared to the early M64/01 units. Output is 250 ps, paired with the G50 five-speed manual gearbox. The soft top opens fully electrically in under ten seconds. The 964 was the first 911 to have ABS and power steering as standard equipment. This example is finished in Amethyst Metallic, a colour Porsche offered exclusively in the final years of the 964.
Fun fact: The 964 was the first 911 in which Porsche replaced the rear torsion bars with coil springs. That made room for the driveshaft to the front axle on the all-wheel drive versions, but Porsche also applied it to the Carrera 2 for improved ride quality.
