The vehicle in detail

Marketed as the fastest-accelerating production car in the world upon its release in 1990, the 964-generation Porsche 911 Turbo deployed a considerable 320 horsepower—courtesy of its 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six engine, which is mated to a five-speed manual transaxle—to scarper from 0 to 100 km/h in just over four seconds. The example offered here presents in its factory-correct colours of Polar Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior and was desirably specified from new with an electric sliding sunroof, limited-slip differential, and a Porsche CD-10 sound system. Configured for country code “C10”, it was completed in early May 1991 and supplied to Switzerland the next month.

Interestingly, the accompanying service book lists Heinz Schiller as the first owner of the 911 Turbo. The Swiss racing driver most notably entered the 1962 German Grand Prix at the wheel of a Lotus 24. In addition, he scored a podium finish in the non-championship Pau Grand Prix the following year, appropriately aboard a Porsche 718, and finished 10th overall (3rd in class) with a Porsche 904/4 GTS in the 1964 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Retired from racing, Schiller established a Porsche dealership in Geneva. Rather than supplying this car for a customer, he chose to retain possession for personal use. The 911 Turbo was delivered on 11 June 1991 via AMAG Centre Porsche in Geneva. Stamps in the service book log that the car returned to the dealership on five occasions between August 1991 and September 2001. Subsequently owned in Pregny-Chambésy, on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Porsche has most recently been maintained by Garage Auto-Rallye of Le Grand-Saconnex. Six stamps span from November 2006 to the latest visit in December 2025. Further accompanied by its owner’s guides and toll roll, and powered by its matching-numbers engine, the Porsche 911 Turbo displayed 28,421 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing.
