Porsche 993 Carrera

Cabriolet, 1995

Highlights

  • 24,674 Original Miles
  • Extensive Maintenance Including New Clutch & Suspension Set Up
  • Midnight Blue Driver & Passenger Seats Restored

The last generation of air-cooled Porsches. A low mileage, extensively maintained, classy-specced 993 Cabriolet in Grand Prix White over Midnight Blue leather.

This 1995 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet is a GH Vehicles alum and a blend of yacht club and back-road cruiser with its classic combination of Grand Prix White over a Midnight Blue leather and complementing convertible top. Prior to its original sale, this 24,670 mile Cabriolet was found in its original owner’s home. We were fortunate to acquire the Porsche and subsequently gave it a full refresh through our service department to its original specifications.

The vehicle in detail

Cosmetically, the 993 features a new convertible top, both driver and passenger seats were diligently restored and matched to original. A Grand-prix White panel covering the Heckblende has been recently installed, streamlining the rear. Mechanically the refresh has positioned the car in a complete turn-key position; Services performed include a new clutch, all rubber bushings, master cylinder, a new suspension set up with H&R lowing springs installed, as well as the drive belts, and a full ignition service. The windshield cowl, front and rear bumpers are repainted to the original color as well as a full paint correction. PPF has been added to the front end and new tires are paired to 17” Cup 2 wheels. Underneath, the 993 Cab underwent a full, non-abrasive dry ice cleaning removing built up residues from grease, oil and debris.

As the last of the air-cooled, and the following initial unpopularity paired with the depreciation of the new, water-cooled 996 generation, the 993 Porsches retained value and many examples were kept in great condition by their owners resulting in the examples we see today. Developed by Harm Lagaay and Tony Hatter, the 993 featured smoother lines compared to its predecessors but was still unmistakably a 911 despite its changes. Porsche introduced a new multi-link rear suspension, straying away from torsion bars, resulting in improved stability at higher speeds and superb traction into and out of corners. The interior still kept that analog, driver-focused, purposeful interior traditional to 911’s. The 993 Carrera Cabriolet is back and ready to enjoy once again with all services up to date.
