With its round, horizontal headlights, iconic flyline, and the characteristic engine sound of the air-cooled boxer engine, this model approaches absolute perfection. The body is so beautifully balanced that we can’t help but appreciate the fourth evolution of Porsche’s legend. The all-black paint job perfectly accentuates the pristine soft top and original set of 18″ Turbo wheels. The black Nappa leather interior is also in excellent, original condition. A special detail is the Porsche crests in the headrests: the certificate of origin shows that Porsche charged the buyer for these at cost [1.500 Duitse Marken]. The comfortable, power-adjustable seats hold the driver and passenger perfectly in place, though the driver’s side is clearly preferred—if only for the view of the beautiful instrument cluster with five analog gauges.
The manual transmission shifter protrudes from the narrow tunnel console, with the controls for the rear spoiler, central locking, the factory-installed anti-theft alarm, and the electric convertible top located above it. Thanks to the optional Hi-Fi sound system with 10 speakers and the Digital Sound Package [DSP] from Nokia, the auditory experience is a real treat—even setting aside the engine noise. A stainless-steel exhaust from Fabspeed Motorsport has been installed; it isn’t excessively loud, but creates exactly the right experience to match the character of this 993. For infotainment, a modern Blaupunkt radio with a DAB+ antenna was chosen, perfectly matching the other black elements. The list of options now includes features such as cruise control, a tinted windshield with a green sunband, power windows and mirrors, headlight washers, a 75L fuel tank, a Raff leather rear seat with 3-point seat belts, and velour floor mats in the trunk.
Given the favorable climate, many classic Porsches are currently being imported from the United States. However, it’s important to pay close attention to the car’s originality, history, and accident history. With this particular car, all of that is 100% in order: the car was originally delivered in Roslyn Heights [New York], has had three owners [wisselingen in 2003 en 2008], was serviced on time, and has an accident-free history. This is confirmed by a CarFax report. At the end of 2013, the car was registered in Germany, after which it had two owners [zij wisselden in 2019]. Since July 2025, the last owner has been driving it as a seasonal classic car / H-Kennzeichen in accordance with § 23 StVZO. With its current German registration, the 993 can easily be registered in Europe; for Dutch buyers, we will of course arrange for a Dutch license plate. Both sets of keys, all TÜV reports, parts certificates, the Euro 2 certificate, maintenance invoices dating back to 2015, the leather dashboard folder containing the original maintenance booklet, instruction manuals, and brochures are included.
Recent appraisal reports from Classic Data show an excellent Class 2 valuation of €90,000. The overall condition is excellent, and signs of use are minimal. A few panels were repainted in Germany for cosmetic reasons; the paint is sealed with a ceramic coating. The underbody is free of rust, indicating consistent indoor storage. The rims are free of curb damage or corrosion. The odometer was verifiably replaced in October 2019 with a kilometer-based version. The car is fitted with 2018 Pirelli P-Zero summer tires with N-coding and 80/60% tread depth front and rear. Recent maintenance was performed on February 5, 2020 [152.251km], August 28, 2020 [154.133km], May 24, 2022 [157.527km], and July 8, 2025 [163.986km]. The latter involved a routine service with completely new rear brake components [schijven, blokken, klauwen, slangen en vloeistof] and a rear spoiler. The 2020 overhaul included new camshafts, timing chain, chain tensioner, tensioning and guide rails, distributor, and oil cooler; overhaul of the air conditioning compressor; front axle alignment; replacement of the steering links and steering knuckles; repair of the heating system; underbody protection; and cavity preservation. Everything is in proper working order. The original windshield and tarp are included.
