With its characteristic “raw” start, the 3.8-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine fires up. Goosebumps, instantly. The magical feeling a Porsche provides begins right from the cold start. A moment later, when the opportunity arises, we put the Carrera 4 S through its paces. The acceleration is sensational. At high RPMs, the power surges along with a sharp screech. What a sound, what a sensation—and what a mighty machine a Porsche truly is.
This is the 997.2—the facelifted version that became available in 2008. The already stunning 997 was given a more modern design, including LED daytime running lights, revised front and rear light clusters, and a meticulously updated interior. Technically speaking, the changes to the 997.2 were much more significant. For example, the 3.8-liter engine in the S variant received direct gasoline injection, the center of gravity was lowered, the weight was reduced, and torsional rigidity increased. The most important change was the transmission. For the first time, the automatic transmission became a PDK—Porsche Doppelkupplung. This automatic transmission is still available today and offers lightning-fast shift times. This is the main reason why you’d want a 997.2. In automatic mode, it selects the right gear at all times, and in combination with the active dampers of the PASM system, it also delivers a different driving character in terms of the suspension. Definitely a major added value.
The 3.8-liter engine in the S version delivers 385pk, and when paired with the PDK transmission and all-wheel drive, the 911 delivers unmatched performance. The Porsche accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, and its top speed is an impressive 295 km/h. The level of grip is at an unprecedented high. The overall experience of the sound, acceleration, and the fact that you’re driving a Porsche 911 makes this a highly desirable car.
A 911 stands or falls on the right combination of features. The appearance and configuration of this particular example are incredible. The fantastic color—Polarsilber metallic—combined with the 19-inch Carrera S II wide-body wheels and the full-width taillights, which are characteristic of the 4S, are amazing. The interior features black leather upholstery with gray stitching and gray seatbelts. A very elegant and unique choice is the headliner in black Alcantara. Of course, it features an electric sliding/tilting roof—not glass, as befits a 911. The 911 also comes equipped with bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, Sport Chrono Plus, a BOSE audio system, and a PCM multimedia system. The latter includes navigation, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and audio streaming.
The Porsche 911 was originally delivered new in Belgium. Maintenance was performed by Porsche dealers. All documentation and both keys are included. To ensure we can deliver the car in excellent condition, we had maintenance performed by the renowned Porsche specialist Rispens. In addition to an oil change and spark plug replacement, the rear brake rotors and brake pads were also replaced. The maintenance was performed on November 12, 2025, at 164,766 km.
