Unveiled at the September 1993 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 993 was Porsche’s last air-cooled 911. While preserving many elements of the classic 911 silhouette, the new Tony Hatter-penned design was considered revolutionary, rather than evolutionary, from its predecessors in terms of performance, handling, comfort, and safety. Starting with the 1996 model year, the 4S was equipped with the standard 282 hp flat-six, and boasted the Turbo’s wide body shell, brakes, and suspension.

Finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a black leather interior, this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S was completed by the factory in January 1996 and sold to the Canadian market. Extra-cost options included heated hardback sport seats, hi-fi sound system, onboard computer, rear window wiper, and aluminum gearshift and hand brake. Additionally, the Motorsound package consisted of a drilled air intake cover and mufflers that gave off a throatier sound. This Carrera 4S was purchased by Rudy Mancinas in April 2021, and subsequently treated to servicing and reconditioning to bring this example up to the standards of the rest of the collection.
